Collection: Mario "SMURKS1" Guitron

Mario "SMURKS1" Guitron has been an artist for 25 years, having started his journey in San Bruno, California.  SMURKS1, as he's known by friends and fans alike, has participated in several major shows and has displayed his art at SF landmark venues like The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture, and Twin Pines Arts Center as well as numerous galleries and popups.  SMURKS1 is a familiar face among the San Francisco art scene at venues like 111 Minna and San Jose’s SUBZero Festival.  In San Bruno, he joined the Culture and Arts Commission in 2022 as Chair in the hopes of finding and sharinge resources available from the city for artists and creative groups.  His current studio is a shared space at AZ Gallery as part of a collective of over 25 artists.  SMURKS1 has competed at and emceed Art Battle San Francisco and went on to represent The City at the 2023-24 Regional Championship.
