  • From the artist: "This painting is inspired by the Disney movie Moana, featuring Tamatoa the treasure seeking crab and the Heart of Tefiti, a glowing green stone that shines bright in black light. The stone lays beneath my nose resembling a booger - it’s a joke between my kids and myself. Search for the #52 (which is my signature) the word “SMURKS” and the likeness of my face (iykyk)."

About the artist

Mario "SMURKS1" Guitron started his journey as an artist 25 years ago in San Bruno, California.  SMURKS1, as he's known by friends and fans alike, has participated in several major shows and has displayed his art at SF landmark venues like The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture, and Twin Pines Arts Center as well as numerous galleries and popups.
