- From the artist: "This painting is another in the series of “coral cities” I enjoy creating. The face in the middle is mine and it was originally painted with a 3D effect in mind, which explains the difference in eye color, like a set of 3D glasses underwater. Mario "SMURKS1" Guitron started his journey as an artist 25 years ago in San Bruno, California. SMURKS1, as he's known by friends and fans alike, has participated in several major shows and has displayed his art at SF landmark venues like The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture, and Twin Pines Arts Center as well as numerous galleries and popups.
