- From the artist: "This painting is inspired by the 'coral cities' project that I started in 2021. It is the 3rd produced piece in this format and has more hidden faces than the others. It was a major piece in the series, inspiring several commissioned paintings, and is a key part of the overall story. Search for the #52 (which is my signature) the word “SMURKS” and the likeness of my face (iykyk)."

Mario "SMURKS1" Guitron started his journey as an artist 25 years ago in San Bruno, California. SMURKS1, as he's known by friends and fans alike, has participated in several major shows and has displayed his art at SF landmark venues like The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture, and Twin Pines Arts Center as well as numerous galleries and popups.
