- From the artist: "This painting is inspired by the edge of the reef known as the “drop zone” where the clownfish are known to reside for protection in the anemone and enjoy space from the more crowded portions of the reef. Search for the #52 (which is my signature) the word “SMURKS” and the likeness of my face (iykyk)."

About the artist
Mario "SMURKS1" Guitron started his journey as an artist 25 years ago in San Bruno, California. SMURKS1, as he's known by friends and fans alike, has participated in several major shows and has displayed his art at SF landmark venues like The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture, and Twin Pines Arts Center as well as numerous galleries and popups.
