Collection: Adel Wu

Adel Wu is originally from Naperville, Illinois. She moved to San Francisco after attending University of Pennsylvania to pursue her tech dreams and quickly fell in love with the city.  She has been an artist and creative her whole life and has dabbled in almost every medium such as drawing, painting, ceramics, mixed media, photography, digital, and even code-generated art.  Her favorite media to work with are watercolor, colored pencil, and ink; she specializes in semi-realism as well as mixing 2D/3D compositions.

The magic of art is really the ability to create something beautiful from nothing.  All you have are your hands and ideas, and the feeling and zone I get into when I draw is unlike anything else I do. A lot of my art is inspired by my Shanghainese cultural background, as well as motifs I love like femininity, nature, and celestial themes.  I always hope that art is a big part of my life and that I can spread the joy of creativity to others!
