  • From the artist: "This painting was inspired by the Seals and Sea Lions that inhabit the San Francisco Bay Area. There are faces hidden in the rocks including the likeness of Grammy Award Artist Seal and the main rock formation is in the shape of a basking Sea Lion. Search for the #52 (which is my signature) the word “SMURKS” and the likeness of my face (iykyk)."

About the artist

Mario "SMURKS1" Guitron started his journey as an artist 25 years ago in San Bruno, California.  SMURKS1, as he's known by friends and fans alike, has participated in several major shows and has displayed his art at SF landmark venues like The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture, and Twin Pines Arts Center as well as numerous galleries and popups.
